BROWNS POINT, WA

This is all I packed for the next 10 months of my life. Sure, that kinda is a lot of stuff, but if you think about it, for ten months, it really isn’t. Don’t worry, I have all the essentials though, scrunchies, coffee, Birkenstocks and my computer, i’m sure i’ll be just fine…

If you’ve talked to me at all about this trip you’ve probably heard me say something along the lines of “It doesn’t feel real” as I packed, saw my friends for the final time, packed my carry on, cleaned out my car, and had one last family dinner, this is all starting to feel real. It is currently 12am and I’m sitting on my couch with Rylee writing this and there’s still a part of me that doesn’t feel like this is real. in less than 15 hours I will be leaving to board a plane to Amsterdam and it’s crazy to think about.

I’ve got things to remind me of home though. I have a journal my grandparents wrote in and personalized each page, my good friend’s tee shirt (thanks Janae), my best friend’s childhood bible, which is by far the sweetest gift I have ever received, I have some notes and cards from family and friends, polaroids and a little mason jar full of things from home. I packed dangles from dance, homecoming pictures, camp gilead buttons, encouragement cards from montana, some little things from inside jokes and some keepsakes that remind me of special people in my life and i’m glad i’ll be able to bring that onto the boat with me.
